How We Rate Betting Sites

Every rating on ZA Betting Guide follows the same repeatable process. We are independent: operators cannot pay for a better score.

1. Licensing & safety

A bookmaker must hold a valid South African licence to appear on our site at all. We then check security, fair terms, and the responsible-gambling tools on offer.

2. Value & offers

We assess welcome offers and — crucially — their terms (wagering requirements, minimum odds, expiry). A big headline bonus with unfair terms scores worse than a smaller, fair one.

3. Deposits, payouts & experience

We look at payment methods in ZAR, minimum deposits, withdrawal speed, the mobile app, sports coverage and live betting.

4. Honest verdict

We summarise who each site suits and who should look elsewhere. We update ratings as sites change, and we welcome corrections at info@zabettingguide.co.za.

How we stay independent

ZA Betting Guide is free to read. Some links to bookmakers are commercial links, and we may earn a commission if you sign up — at no extra cost to you. This never affects our ratings. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
